A First in Türkiye in the Field of Tourism from BAUN Faculty of Tourism: Double Diploma Opportunity with Renaissance University of Education in Uzbekistan
An International Joint Undergraduate Education Programme (UOLP) protocol in the field of Tourism Management has been signed between the Faculty of Tourism at Balıkesir University and Renaissance University of Education in Uzbekistan. Through this cooperation between the two universities, students will have the opportunity to receive education at international standards and graduate with a double diploma.
The programme, which aims to enhance the national and international attractiveness of the Faculty of Tourism at Balıkesir University, will enable students to benefit from the knowledge and experience of two different academic cultures and educational traditions within a single educational process.
A quota of 25 students has been allocated for the programme, which will begin in the 2026–2027 academic year. Within the scope of the programme, students will complete the first and second years of their undergraduate education at Renaissance University of Education in Uzbek, and the third and fourth years at the Faculty of Tourism at Balıkesir University in Turkish.
Students who successfully complete the programme will be entitled to receive an internationally recognized undergraduate diploma bearing the approval of both universities and certifying their graduation from the joint programme. Thus, graduates will gain a significant competitive advantage in the international labour market through the “double diploma” qualification.
Through this programme, students will have access to career opportunities at international hotel chains, airline companies, public institutions, and consultancy firms in Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and various countries around the world.
