TURAK Accreditation Certificates Presented to Our Faculty

The certificates for the programmes of Balıkesir University Faculty of Tourism accredited by the Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council (TURAK) were presented to Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu and the Faculty of Tourism administration at a ceremony.

At the ceremony, where the certificates were presented by TURAK Vice President Prof. Dr. Orhan İçöz, the participants included Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay—who also serves as the Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts—and Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl; as well as Prof. Dr. Ahmet Köroğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Head of the Department of Tourism Management; Prof. Dr. Özlem Köroğlu, Head of the Department of Tourism Guidance; and Prof. Dr. Barış Erdem, Head of the Department of Recreation Management.

During the programme, it was once again emphasized that the Faculty of Tourism at Balıkesir University is among the strongest brands in its field, owing to its quality of education, practice-oriented approach, and strong collaborations with the sector. It was also highlighted that the accreditation process represents another significant achievement for the Faculty.

Commenting on the presentation of the accreditation certificates, Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu stated that this achievement is an important indicator of the University’s quality-oriented approach to education. He also thanked the Faculty administration, department administrations, academic staff, and administrative personnel who contributed to the process.
