Tourism Week Event: Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Orientation Seminar

As part of Tourism Week activities, our Faculty Research Assistant Talha Serdar Sezen delivered an informative seminar about our Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Career Days event organized at Karesi Zühtü Özkardeşler Anatolian High School on April 25, 2025.

Attracting great interest from students, the seminar covered the department’s curriculum, career opportunities, and current developments in the sector. Sezen also answered questions from the students.

The seminar was also attended by Deniz Demir, a student of our Faculty’s Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and at the same time a teacher at Karesi Zühtü Özkardeşler Anatolian High School, who shared his own experiences about the department with the students.

As Balıkesir University Faculty of Tourism, we would like to emphasize that we will continue to support such activities aimed at training future gastronomy professionals; we also extend our gratitude to the administration of Karesi Zühtü Özkardeşler Anatolian High School and all students who participated in the event.
